Mission Sunday 2017

As your shepherds, we want to thank you for the wonderful transition from Roebuck to Deerfoot. Since our move less than nine months ago, more people are coming to worship God with us. Not only is our attendance growing, we have also been growing in the grace of giving to support the Lord’s work.

As we move on in 2017, we again can show our love for God by fulfilling Christ’s charge to “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” We have set May 7th as Mission Sunday, the day our entire contribution will be used to fund the 11 mission works of our congregation.

Last year you gave more than $122,000 on Mission Sunday, which is more than six times our weekly contribution. Because of your generosity, we resumed support of the Barton Kizer family in Peru and the Joey Treat family in the South Pacific.

Our goal this year is $122,000. In coming weeks, we will be highlighting our mission works so that you can appreciate the nature of the work and love the individuals we are supporting. We ask you to prayerfully and thoughtfully begin to plan for your giving on Mission Sunday.

With your love for God and your generous heart for mission work, we know that we will meet our goal. God bless this church as we come together to spread the Good News of Jesus.
