Updated February 1, 2021
To the congregation at Deerfoot Church of Christ, from your elders:
We are resuming in-person worship and Bible classes on Sunday mornings:
- 8:15 a.m. worship
- 9:30 a.m. Bible class
- 10:30 a.m. worship
In observance of the government’s guidelines regarding 6ft social distancing (6FSD) to minimize the spread of COVID-19, we will continue to have limited seating in the auditorium for approximately 100 people, with overflow in the fellowship hall. We ask households to sit together, maintain the 6FSD between other households and STRONGLY SUGGEST the wearing of face protection (to be removed for the Lord’s Supper).
For those worshipping from home we will live stream the 9:30 a.m. Bible class and 10:30 a.m. worship service on our website, YouTube channel and Facebook page. If you are sick, if your health is vulnerable, or if you’re concerned about your health as we meet together, please stay home. You will be part of our worship assembly by viewing our live stream during services.
We will continue to provide individually packaged Lord’s Supper unleavened bread & fruit of the vine at the back of the auditorium for you to pick up as you enter. Empty containers can be properly disposed at the building exits. At the end of service, appointed men will be taking up the collection for the saints at the same auditorium doors.
Prior to and at the conclusion of the service, please fellowship outside, allowing for the 6FSD for others to move freely through the pathways, hallways, and lobby.
Sunday and Wednesday Bible Classes
Bible classes for children and adults are now meeting in-person in between the two Sunday morning worship services. The adult Bible class meeting in the auditorium will be streamed live on our website, YouTube channel and Facebook page. An adult Bible study will also be streamed Sundays at 5 p.m. on our website, YouTube channel and Facebook page in lieu of our normal in-person worship service.
We Love You
Thank you again for your kindness, generosity, and support. We love you.
PLEASE, regardless of your personal feelings toward COVID-19 and the response, help us adhere to these guidelines, including 6FSD, to ensure each other’s well-being and in keeping with Romans 13:1. We look forward to the day we can hug and shake hands.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of the elders or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Galatians 6:9-10
